Construction Administration and project management
Project managers and construction administrators serve as liaisons between the client and contractor, and manage the entire bidding and construction process through to occupancy. They assist in bid preparation and procurements and bid evaluations, as well as promoting the use of local craftspeople and labor. The project management and construction administration professionals are available to answer questions, clarify documentation and lead construction meetings. They are on-site on a regular basis, reporting on progress, schedules and any unforeseen changes. This step employs the three-legged stool mindset, positioning contractors, architects and owners as equal partners in the development of the space.

FINAL INSPECTION
Working in conjunction with the entire construction team, DSGW develops Construction Documents that carefully detail the design. Our construction partners are very experienced and knowledgeable and understand how architectural details are implemented via various construction techniques. For traditional delivery projects, DSGW reviews design concepts with the contractor to ensure understanding.
TYPICAL DELIVERABLES/ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:
- Construction observations at the site.
- Conduct construction meetings with the Owner, Contractor and DSGW.
- We provide clear, concise documentation of construction meetings in the form of a very unique reporting format that continually lists project issues, who is responsible and what the appropriate action shall be. Organization is key to a successful project.
- We represent the Owner’s interest in every issue that rises throughout the construction process. It is our job, not our Client’s, to deal with project issues.
- We strictly enforce and “push” the schedule and ensure all project members are being responsible for their duties.
- We will continually update and monitor the project budget so the Owner always knows the project costs.
- We conduct building observations at substantial completion and at final completion. We enforce the expeditious completion of the punch list to allow Owner occupancy of their building with minimal disruptions.
- We work with the Owner during post-occupancy to resolve normal construction-related issues.
